The Evo is more than just a package. It makes the sports car hotter, more aerodynamic and exciting to be driven in the racing season next year. The level of customizations for this edition is really impressive and starts at the exterior and gradually makes its way under the hood.

The specification list of the 2019 NSX GT3 Evo was presented by Masashi Yamamoto, General Manager at Honda Motorsports, at Road Atlanta, last Friday.

Among the most important updates, Masashi declared that the new car is now coming with an estimated 25 percent increase in the racer`s engine life along with a suite of new mechanics that make it more powerful on the track.

Let`s hear what Masashi had to say during the presentation of the brand-new 2019 Acura NSX GT3 Evo:

“We are extremely pleased to present the specification of the 2019 NSX GT3 Evo today. While the car has already won in some of the world’s most prestigious GT3 series, we believe in constantly improving our products and providing the best possible equipment and support for our customers.

“Through the NSX GT3 Customer Racing Program, an international collaboration between a number of Honda’s technical partners, we have been able to combine expertise on a global level to define a set of upgrades for the latest version of the NSX GT3 that will benefit every one of our customer teams worldwide.”

Visually, the 2019 NSX GT3 Evo looks mind-blowing and extremely aggressive with new body program, which includes a new front splitter, rear diffuser and rear bumper. There are also subtle carbon fiber with red accents.

Under the hood, the racing car uses the same 3.5-liter V6 engine, now enhanced with new turbochargers which increases boost control throttle control or fuel economy. Other new modifications include ABS system, data-logging unit, six-speed sequential-shift racing gearbox, along with a suite of FIA-standard safety systems.

Compared to the last year`s model, there is no serious change concerning the MSRP, which means that you can get it at around $54,000 without the destination fee.

There are two variants available in the United States. First is the MDX Sport Hybrid (SH-AWD) with Technology Package, with the MSRP set at $53,800. However, with the $995 Destination Charge, the model will eventually cost $53,795. On the other hand, the Advantage Package is set at $59,550, or $60,545 with the Destination Charge.

Visually, the MY2019 looks more adorable and appealing, due to the new exterior colours – Majestic Black Pearl, Canyon Bronze Metallic and Performance Red Pearl – which perfectly complements the interior`s new Desert Olive Ash wood treatment, matching wood center console or high-contrast seat and door panel stitching.

Technically, the 2019 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid brings forward a couple of new enhancements, like seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, 4-mode Integrated Dynamics System with Sport+ mode, Active Damper System or Electric Servo Brake System. There is also the suite of new safety gizmos, all part of AcuraWatch system.

In the engine department, the new MDX Sport Hybrid is more powerful and fuel-efficient. We are dealing here with a 3.0-liter i-VTEC V6 engine and a three-motor Sport Hybrid Super Handling-All Wheel Drive, which is rather the same used underneath the Acura NSX supercar. In the MDX, the entire system develops an impressive 321 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the EPA ratings stands at 26/27/27, which is more than convenient for such amount of power.

The carmaker has also released the official video which highlights the car`s exquisite design language, interior technologies and high-class materials, as well as its driving capabilities.

Powering all 2019 Acura RDX models is a 2.0-liter VTEC turbocharged engine paired to a high-performance 10-speed automatic transmission with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system. The engine is developing a good 270 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.

As for main highlights, standard features for all models refer to Acura JewelEye LED headlights, ultra-wide panoramic moon-roof, as well as a wide range of onboard safety and driver assistive technology, all part of the carmaker`s new AcuraWatch safety.

Besides the standard features, the new Acura can also be had with the A-Spec package which comprises special features at the exterior, as well as new highlights inside the cabin. The main ones refer to 20-inch alloy wheels with low-profile 245/45R20 tires, wider exhaust finishers, gloss black exterior accents, or A-Spec badging, red or black leather and ultra-suede upgrades inside the cabin.

In case you are not satisfied with the aforementioned new highlights, Acura is also launching extra goodies for extra cash. You can also get new optional packages like Advance and Technology, available with 10.5-inch full-colour Head-Up Display, Surround View Camera System, Cross Traffic Monitor, Blind Spot Information System, 16-way power adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, as well as 16-channel Acura ELS Studio 3D premium audio.

The two versions comprise the 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid with Technology Package, available for $51,960, adding as well the 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid with Advance Package, this one costing $58,000. Prices do not come with the $975 destination charge.

For the aforementioned prices, you get plenty of safety gizmos, new features inside, mechanics and plenty of performance under the hood, which for a plug-in hybrid this is quite exceptional.

Both variants are fitted with new interior trims, wood accents, stainless steel sport pedals, with the MDX Advance Package adding a little bit more, such as a third-row configuration, large center console separating the second-row captain`s chairs and so on. Mechanically, the models come with advanced Electro Serbo braking system or Active Damper technology.

As for the safety gizmos, the 2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid comes with Collision Mitigation Braking System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control with low-speed follow and much more.

Under the hood, the new MDX Sport Hybrid is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine paired to no less than three electric motors, developing a total of 321 horsepower and 392 Nm of torque, being sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The model also comes with the Comfort, Normal, Sport and Sport+ driving modes, with the EPA ratings being set at 26/27/27 mpg in city/highway/combined.

In terms of features, the 2017 Acura ILX is first coming with a wide variety of exterior colors, adding three more over the previous model. We are looking here at the Lunar Silver Metallic, San Marino red, Modern Steel Metallic, joining the already available Bellanova White Pearls, Catalina Blue Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl.

Besides the basic body features, the Tech Plus with A-Spec Package adds the front fog lights, sporty side sill garnishes, trunk spoiler and a few more.

Under the hood, the entire 2017 Acura ILX lineup is packing a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which develops a good 201 horsepower, hooked to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle-controlled Sequential Sport Shift.

Since we are dealing here with a facelift version of the current model, the 2017 MDX features a handful of visual tweaks, like new front fascia with “diamond pentagon” grille and revised Jewel Eye headlights.

Additional features refer to LED fog lights, updated side skirts tweaked with chrome accents, rear bumper with new dual exhaust system and so on.

The good news don’t stop here, as the model is already available for pre-orders online, the cheapest version setting you back at $156,000. More than that, you get to choose from the wide variety of body styling elements made from carbon fiber and assembled by hand.

Thus, you can have your new 2016 Acura NSX all wrapped in an exquisite carbon fiber package and a carbon fiber roof, along with carbon fiber ceramic braking system or carbon fiber engine cover.

Performance wise, the 2016 Acura NSX is using a hand-made 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is built at the company`s engine plant, near Ohio. The engine is backed by an electric motor, the entire hybrid powertrain delivering a good 573 horsepower.

The 2016 Acura NSX sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds, thanks to a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Rumors also state that the company is preparing a hardcore version, called the NSX Type R, the version being indirectly confirmed by Nick Robinson, the NSX Dynamic Development Leader.

On the European market, the hybrid supercar will be available from €180,000, the equivalent of $196,330, making it a little bit more expensive than the all-new Porsche 911 Turbo, which can be bought from €174,669.

The details are rather scarce at the moment, but rumors has it that the supercar will come with powerful 550 horsepower under the hood, all squeezed-out from a V6 twin turbo engine, backed by two electric motors displayed on both axles, thanks to a Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive.

Besides the production model, the carmaker is also rumored to release a hardcore version called the NSX Type R, the model being seen in recent renderings.

In the United Kingdom, the all-new Honda NSX is set to fly off from £130,000, while in the United States the hybrid car comes with a MSRP of $156,000.

Even if a regular 2017 Acura NSX is priced at $205,700 in the top of the line version, this one seen here has been sold for a whopping $1.2 million, during an auction at Barret-Jackson.

All the money will be sent to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground and will be used in cancer research.

The 2017 Acura NSX is coming with a lightweight chassis, thanks to the carbon fiber or aluminum composites on the roof or interior. Other features refer to carbon ceramic brakes or high-performance suspension system.

Under the hood, the 2017 Acura NSX is extremely powerful, thanks to the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which develops 500 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a sand-cast engine block, swing arm-type valve actuators and lightweight cylinder heads.

The engine is also backed by three electric motors, two mounted up front and the third at the rear. All are hooked to a lithium-ion battery pack. The overall power stands at 573 horsepower, being sent to all wheels via a nine-speed transmission. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is done in just 3.0 seconds.

The new rendering signed by the famous X-Tomi Design comes after the designer launched the model in the Targa body design. But as opposed to this one, the NSX Type R is also believed to become reality in the near future, as some insiders have exposed some clues with the hotter version.

We are not sure how the model would look like, but this one showcased here, is showing a more aggressive body language and a more powerful powertrain displayed under the hood. We will wait and see it in its final version.

On the other side, the 2016 Acura NSX recently launched is measuring 4,470 mm in length, 1,940 mm in width and 1,215 mm in height, and will cost around $150,000.

More than that, the 2016 Acura NSX is coming with around 550 horsepower under the hood, due to a V6 twin turbo unit, which is backed by two electric motors upfront and one at the rear end of the car, sending the power to all wheels, due to the Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive.
