Engine Specs & Performance

Aston Martin has a running agreement with Mercedes to provide engines and technical support, so it is natural for the British marque to go with their German supplier for the electric drivetrain. Lawrence Stroll suggests that could be a possibility but they are also looking at other options.

The brand’s head said that the performance car will be a version of the DB11/Vantage, with a front-engine setup. He didn’t give details about the SUV but it is expected that the all-electric SUV will be based on some older model.

McLaren Senna

To name a car after probably the most iconic and revered name in Formula One is either incredibly brave or incredibly dangerous – perhaps both. But McLaren are right on the money with this million dollar, 800 hp hypercar. Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro

The Aston Martin Valkyrie’s provenance is there for all to see. Developed in partnership with Adrian Newey and the Formula One boys at Red Bull Racing, it looks like something more appropriate for the track than the road. The AMR Pro on display at Geneva was exactly that, a track-based special, designed without the constraints of the public highway to consider.

The statistics speak for themselves. 1,100 hp, and an ability to generate lateral acceleration of 3G, mean you need the physique, as well as the bank balance, of Lewis Hamilton to drive one. Just 25 have been commissioned, and all have already got owners waiting.

Zenvo TSR-S

As you already know, the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is the official replacer of the Vanquish, meaning it will bring along a new design language, technology at its peak and a more powerful engine under the hood.

Once at the surface, the new DBS Superleggera will become available in both coupe and Volante variants, featuring a more elegant design with more aggressive lines.

Seen in testing and wearing camouflage is the droptop variant which now features quad exhaust tips, smaller rear spoiler for increased downforce and black tape on the hood.

As for interior highlights, spy photographers from motor1 magazine have managed to take a quick peak, snapshotting the lower section of the center console. Overall, the cabin looks larger than the previous model, with cues borrowed from the DB11 Volante as well. Once out in dealerships, it will come with red stitching and leather upholstery. And of course, the usual technological suit we are already familiar with.

Underneath its skin, the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante will feature a massive 5.2-liter bi-turbo V12 pot, with more than 630 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, which is presently offered on the also fabulous DB11 AMR. Once available on the local market, the V8 Vantage S Red Bull will kick off from $259,995 while the top of the line V12 Vantage S Red Bull will set you back at $422,700.

Both variants are coming with a choice of two colours at the exterior – Tungsten Silver and gloss Marina Blue – adding as well a carbon fiber aero kit and carbon fiber interior.

However, for the moment, the Aston Martin Valkyrie won`t make it into a production model until it meets all the demands set for such an importatn step. The same Andy Palmer also stated:

“The project is in the design studio right now, but the mandate for that car or cars is, basically, how do we ensure that it’s beautiful, how do you make function follow form rather than the other way around? If it’s going to be an Aston Martin, it will have to be beautiful. The car will need to be fantastic; it will have to compete with some bloody good rivals. Doing Valkyrie starts to give us some ideas about what they should look like.”

Once decided for the roads, the new Aston Martin Valkyrie might pack an upgraded engine of the DB11`s 5.2-liter twin-turbo engine, with an impressive power output.

The Valkyrie first appeared on the Aston Martin`s body style in 1951 and comprised a whole range of models like the Vantage, Virage, Vanquish and later on the Vulcan. All models have stood the test of time and are now enjoying world recognition.

There are little details known about the Valkyrie supercar, except for the fact that it was built in a partnership with Red Bull Technologies, AF Racing and other companies in the auto technology, and once the full details will be revealed, it will surely blow us away with the latest high-tech features.
