These custom-made machines will be produced in a limited number, only 75 of them will ever make the road, and they will be a rare work of automotive art.</strong></p>



<p>It has always been Singer who has been associated with taking modern 911s and reinventing them with the past in mind. Their most recent product, named the 911 Carrera Cabriolet Reimagined by Singer, is inspired by the G-series of the 1980s, but it is built on a 964 Cabriolet of the modern era. It has produced an open-top, wide-body coupe that looks exactly like the original but is put on a chassis that has been hardened, widened, and covered with carbon-fiber panels to give a combination of <a href="https://www.automotorblog.com/classics/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">classic</a> appearance and modern durability.</p>



<p>The level of attention to detail is impressive. <p>Singer has collaborated with Cosworth to come up with a 4.0-liter, naturally aspirated boxer six under the hood. The engine retains the air-cooled tradition of Porsche, however, revising it with four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, and water-cooled manifolds, which generate 420 horsepower. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2>The 2018 SEMA show taking place each year in the hot Las Vegas, United States, it`s home to thousands of bizarre, classic, vintage and mostly upgraded sports cars and supercars, in attempt to show that everything is possible in the auto business.</h2>
<p>So yes, we might say that the show is entirely dedicated to tuning firms or hardcore divisions from different car manufacturers, wanting to display their most outrageous and most impressive rides. We have seen plenty of aftermarket shops playing around muscle cars or sports cars from Europe as well.</p>
<p>From the United States, StreetFighter LA tuning company was also present at the 2018 SEMA show, displaying at Toyo stand a classic Porsche heavily modified under the hood and which develops no less than 700 horsepower. </p>
<p><span id="more-102970"></span></p>
<p>Well, nothing out of the box, except the fact that this 1977 Porsche 911 Coupe is packing a fully-electric motor taken from Tesla Motors. Now, the real question: why in the hell would you wrap a Porsche with an electric motor? It might be just for show off or just for the sake of playing around with such extravagant customizations. </p>
<p>The electric motor comes with its full original mechanical parts, enabling no less than 700 horsepower at the crank and 563 horsepower at the wheels, which is amazing. And all was achieved without any modifications to the exterior.</p>
<p>Even so, on the outside, this 1977 Porsche Coupe looks extremely unusual with the new aftermarket bits fitted over the original body, which made this classic quite a delight in Las Vegas.</p>
<p>As we can depict from the media gallery below, we see massive bolt-on fender flares on all corners, along with adjustable suspension or BBW alloy wheels. As for new interior bits, the technicians from StreetFighter LA have also added a roll cage, seats with no headrests and some new materials all around. </p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2>The 2018 SEMA taking place in Las Vegas was recently on a full swing with carmakers displaying their latest models that will eventually arrive on the American market. However, there were also genuine aftermarket shops present at the event that have also announced their latest tuning programs.</h2>
<p>One of them is the Mopar, well-known for its genuine tuning programs for a lot of American muscle cars. This time, the tuner has brought a custom-built Dodge to Las Vegas, with mega-power under the hood. It is actually a concept of the genuine 1968 Dodge Super Charger, now enhanced with plenty oo juice under the hood. </p>
<p>Unfortunately, this is one show muscle that will never see the light of day; it is just a concept set to demonstrate one more time that in the right hands, such an iconic car can become even more impressive, with lots of modifications under the hood.</p>
<p><span id="more-102848"></span></p>
<p>The 1968 Dodge Super Charger Concept uses a ‘Hellephant’ 426 HEMI crate motor, which delivers a staggering 1,000 horsepower. What is more interesting is that this particular engine can also be used on other American muscle cars. So, in case you own such an exclusive build, always rely on Mopar to get it fixed with the 426 HEMI crate engine. </p>
<p>The crate engine refers to a massive 7.0-liter V8 pot, good for 1,288 Nm of torque as well. It also uses a 4.125-inch bore and 4.0-stroke, with all-aluminum block. To cope with such tremendous power and torque, this old boy is coming with brand-new parts at the exterior.</p>
<p>For instance, the wheel arches are made from fiber-grass and provide wide stance for the new wheels. Speaking of which, the 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels are borrowed from the Challenger SRT Hellcat. The muscle car`s wheelbase has also been extended from 117 inches to 119 inches, while the ride height is now sitting lower to make the concept more stable at high speeds or on tight corners. Mopar have also installed high-performance Brembo brakes. </p>
<p>The interior doesn’t look at all with the classic one, and has been garnished with new high-end materials, such as sating black trimming with the ‘Hellephant’ logos, along with a centre console with start/stop button, toggle switches for the wipers, fog lights and headlights. The seats are taken from the Dodge Viper and are wrapped in Alcantara leather. </p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2>Famous drummer Nicko McBrain from the legendary rock band Iron Maiden is a true Jaguar passionate and connoisseur, owning no less than two special vintage models in his garage.</h2>
<p>With Jaguar XJ turning 50 years of existence on the market, the carmaker decided to build just for him, a custom-built model from scratch. </p>
<p>It is in fact a restomod, with more than 4,000 parts to be refinished, rebuilt or replaced. The result is truly magnificent and spectacular. </p>
<p><span id="more-102076"></span></p>
<p>McBrain wanted to thank Jaguar for the unique creation and paid his regards to the whole team for making it a dream come true: </p>
<p><em>“This is my ultimate XJ – my third, and lovingly named ‘Johnny 3’. It has been a true labour of love between Jaguar Classic and myself. I`m so excited by its completion and especially to be showing it at Geneva – it really is a Greatest Hits edition and to me it defines what the Jaguar XJ is all about. It`s a credit to the craftsmanship of the Jaguar Classic team. We couldn’t have timed it better, this being the 50th anniversary of XJ.”</em> Such fine words coming from the heart!</p>
<p>The technicians from Jaguar Classic Team needed more than 3.000 hours to complete the difficult tasks of transforming the 1984 Jaguar XJ into a unique piece, which they have called “Greatest Hits.” </p>
<p>There are plenty of highlights that make it unique and absolutely magnificent. The technicians have worked their magic on the front and rear bumpers, adding as well flared wheel arches to fit the massive 18-inch alloy wheels. Other characteristics also refer to 235/45 R18 Pirelli PZero tires, LED headlights, new seals which reduce wind noise, as well as upgraded front and rear suspension system with adjustable rear bumpers. The new styling bits and the wheels are perfectly complemented by the exquisite Mauve exterior paintjob.</p>
<p>The interior hasn’t been left out and it received new trims, rear-view camera, touch-screen satellite navigation, phone and high-performance audio system. </p>
<p>The engine also feels more powerful with the technicians from Jaguar Classic Team adding some improvements as well. The 2.4-liter inline six-cylinder pot screams louder with the three 2-inch carburetors borrowed from the E-Type, along with quad-exhaust tailpipes. </p>

<p>The infamous auction overlords have big hopes for this year. They don&#8217;t have a ton of cars (well, they have several, but you get the point) or anything like that but they do have a special one.</p>

<p>Anything called a 1936 Mercedes 540 K is a rare thing, but they have one such example that goes one step further and is a piece of history.<br />

The WW2 period car is actually one of the few surviving the very few incidents yet, much like many other auction favorites, there&#8217;s a famous owner involved.</p>
<p>In this case, the Mercedes 540 K was built especially for the royal Prussian family in 1936 and that&#8217;s not all. As the war hotted up, the car was, obviously, under threat.</p>

<p>That&#8217;s how in 1942 the car was shipped to Switzerland by Baroness Gisela von Krieger. The very special lady was apparently a bit of a petrolhead as she kept the car close.</p>
<p>When, later on, she moved to the United States, she once again, shipped the car with her and went on to drive it around Greenwich Connecticut.</p>
<p>This is where Gooding&#8217;s staff start rubbing their hands together. Eventually, the baroness moved back to Switzerland.</p>
<p>However, the car remained in the United States. It sat beautifully in a garage for more than forty years.</p>

<p>Obviously, some restoration work was involved, but nothing of major importance. According to Gooding, this 1936 Mercedes 540 K von Krieger edition could fetch a new record.</p>
<p>That implies it would sell for some 16.4 million USD at the very least.</p>
