The carmaker has also released the details with all the available versions, as well as prices. There are three levels to arrive on the market – LS, LT and the top of the line LTZ, with prices to start from AUD 23,990 and going all the way up to AUD 30,490. Full prices are listed below.

There are plenty of exterior features that highlight the Trax lineup, such as LED daytime running lights in the LS, or sunroof in the LT. The topper LTZ also received the new LED taillights and alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabins of all three levels are also equipped according to the package involved. For instance, all versions received the new 7.0-inch touchscreen, AndroidAuto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, the company`s new MyLink system and s on.

The LT an also be had with push-button start and digital radio, while the LTZ is now available with TFT insturment screen, rear cross-traffic alert or blind-spot monitoring.

In the engine department, the 2017 Holden Trax lineup is equipped with a 1.4-liter twin-turbo engine with 103 kW and 175 Nm of torque, closely followed by a 1.8-liter Ecotec with manual transmission.

As you already know, the company released the news last year, in October, announcing all together a new range of updates for the 2017 MY. Currently, the entire updated fleet comprises the Evoke, SV6, SS, SS-V Redline, Calais, Calais V and the Caprice V, all variants coming with their own trims and price tags.

The updates mostly refer to exterior changes, including a wide range of colours like the Light My Fire Orange, Spitfire Green, Gun Grey or Son. Some high-end variants can also be had with black grilles and vents, or black wheels.

It looks gorgeous with the new styling elements and can be had on the hot continent from the base AUD $21,990, becoming the main competitor of the new Hyundai i30, also set at AUD $22,990. The full price tags can be seen in the media gallery below.

The model comes fully-tweaked with a lot of goodies at the exterior, including the new LED taillights and the 17-inch alloy wheels, while inside, the interior comes with lots of interesting high-tech gizmos and features.

We should mention rear view camera, Holden MyLink infotainment system with seven-inch display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Siri Eyes Free, cruise control with speed limited, DAB+, leather steering wheel, and so on.

There are also optional packages available that add more characteristics. For instance, the Driver Assist Pack costs AUD $1,000 and adds leather steering wheel, electro-chromatic mirror, Holden Eye forward facing camera, or rain-sensing wipers.

On the other hand, the Touring Pack is available at AUD $1,990 and you get electric sunroof, adaptive cruise control and much more.

The safety features are also important and the new Holden Astra doesn’t like any of the most important, such as advanced park assist, automatic emergency braking, forward distance indicator, lane keep assist, forward collision alert, blind spot alert and more.

In the engine department, the entry-level gets the 1.4-liter engine with 147 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque, hooked to a six-speed manual, while the topper RS and RS-V get the 1.6-liter petrol with 197 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.

The 2017 Holden Trailblazer comes with LED DRLs with chrome accents, updated front fascia, muscular design lines and new alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin welcomes you with updated dashboard with new center console, and plethora of new features for the top of the line variant, including leather seats, Holden MyLink infotainment system with new 8-inch color touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other important features also include remote vehicle start system, voice recognition, satellite navigation, climate control and more.

The gorgeous Trailblazer also comes adorned with the latest safety features, including Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control and much more.

The mechanics of the 2017 Holden Trailblazer were also found on the Colorado 7, meaning revised steering calibration, providing a “more precise steering feel thanks to a faster steering rack ration and less turns lock-to-lock”, providing a “more refine and composed ride”.

In the engine department, the 2017 Holden Trailblazer packs a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel, which will equip the models in early October.

The Black Edition model comes with the same dark-themed also seen on other Holden models, this limited edition also wearing the special sporty features from the SV6 and SS versions.

The exterior is standing out from the crowd with the black front grille, side mirror caps, black spoiler, the “Black Edition” insignias, all complemented by the 18-inch grey alloy wheels with black inner sections.

Peter Keley, Executive Director of Sales at Holden, speaks about the Black Edition`s exterior: “Black exterior design features have proved popular with customers looking to give their vehicle a stronger road presence and unique styling. With Commodore Black, we’ve chosen to combine the style of those black design features with the substance of advanced technology, usually only reserved for our top-of-the-range vehicles.”

Inside, the cabin has also received some slight updates, like Black Edition floor mats up front, red stitching for the seats, along with the latest high-tech tweaks, like head-up display, satellite navigation, and a few more.

There are no fresh details concerning the powertrain options under the hood, but we should be able to find out more in the upcoming period. In terms of pricing, the Holden Black Commodore Black Edition is $1,000 more expensive than the regular VFII SV6 and SS models.

We are not dealing with the latest Spark model, Holden launching the version unveiled last year at the 2015 New York Auto Show. Even so, the car looks rather cool and is fully tweaked with a lot of gizmos.

The 2016 Holden Spark features the same familiar design lines, though it also retains some Chinese-style elements, with the front bumper taken from Hyundai models or the rear end from Toyota Yaris. The interior also sports better quality materials and a cozier feel.

Even if Holden was poor in revealing the full details, we might number a few of them, like a three-spoke steering wheel, leather on the seats, updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto systems.

In the engine department, Holden Spark comes with the same 1.4-liter four-cylinder unit developing a good 84 horsepower and 94 lb-ft of torque, hooked to a five-speed manual or optional continuously variable transmission.

Unfortunately, the carmaker has not revealed any information concerning the performance figures nor the price tags, but we should except a handful of fresh information ahead the car`s arrival in dealerships, this April.

All new versions except the GTS will come with new styling features, like updated front and rear bumpers, revised side skirts and hood vents, as well as the 20-inch alloy wheels, also seen on the GTS.

Under the hood, the 2016 Gen-F2 will come with a supercharged V8 engine and an increase power, like 543 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, as opposed to the stock 461 horsepower. The power will be hooked to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The Launch Control system is also available.

The top of the line Gen-F2 GTS will get extra goodies, like the Hyper Dark Stainless forged wheels, the Magnetic Ride Control with three riding models, the Touring, Sport and Track. In the engine department, the GTS will output 584 horsepower and huge 740 Nm of torque.

This time, the Captiva crossover has received an interesting edition that adds plenty of improvements. At the exterior, the new Holden Captiva Active, which is based on the 7 LS version, has 18-inch alloy wheels, new roof rails and fog lights.

If the exterior tweaks are not satisfying you enough, the interior improvements will certainly boost your comfort. We talk about an 8-way power driver seat, 7-inch colour touchscreen, rear view camera, leather upholstery and a sunroof.

“Captiva Active combined a raft of great features with seven seat practicality whilst maintaining outstanding customer value,” said the officials at Holden.

The standard Holden Captiva 7 LS has a starting price of $29,990 AUD while the Captiva Active edition kicks off at $31,990 AUD. We talk about a difference of exactly $2,000 AUD. If you try to add the extra equipment on top of the 7 LS version, you might get a bigger price tag, therefore, this special model might be a quite good deal.

Moreover, in the future, the German carmaker plans to build more and more Holden and even Buick models in Europe.

We talk about the Holden Astra GTC, Astra VXR and Cascada, models that seem to be cheaper to build in Europe and ship to Australia or New Zealand rather than buliding the cars there.

“Cooperation between Opel and its sister brands within General Motors has entered a new era. The first Holden rolled off the production line in Rüsselsheim today,” says Opel.

It remains to be seen if General Motors will move all the production to Europe or they will still use their current factories to sell models that will be sold locally.
